Before entering the world of perfume, Cengiz Yatagan spent years exploring the realm of visual arts in search of energy—an energy that is not seen, not touched, but deeply felt. His abstract paintings, mostly untitled, are designed as energy fields—living spaces that invite the viewer into an intimate, personal experience. In these works, nature is not represented as an image, but rather as an invisible force: the flow of water, the movement of air, the vibrations of the earth, and a hidden order that operates beyond recognizable forms. This perspective became the starting point for the connection between Yatagan's art and perfumery.
For Yatagan, perfume is an extension of the same artistic language, but in an invisible dimension. Just as color, texture, and layers in painting create emotion, so too can fragrance notes carry energy, memories, and meaning. Each Puzzle perfume is like a sensory puzzle: a collection of notes that only become complete with the presence of the wearer.
The bottles themselves are directly extracted from Yatagan's artwork. These designs are not merely inspired by his paintings; they are reinterpretations of the original works. For this reason, each bottle comes with a numbered certificate and remains as an independent artistic object even after its contents are used.
