The Mustela Foundation was founded in 1982 by Paul Berthomé, the father of the current chairman of parent company Laboratoires Expanscience.

The Mustela Foundation works in partnership with healthcare professionals across a variety of disciplines to supports research and projects related to child development and parenting worldwide.

The Mustela Foundation’s initiatives fulfil 3 main goals:

• Support research by awarding grants and prizes in Research and Midwifery to students and experienced researchers.
• Raising awareness on infant healthcare issues through education and free distribution of brochures, leaflets and posters.
• Funding projects within the fields of health and wellness for children in France and worldwide through the Social Pediatrics Prize.

To date, the Mustela Foundation has supported more than 100 projects in the fields of psychology, sociology, psychiatry, pediatrics and midwifery.
